Nursing Scholars Program

The University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is committed to providing educational and employment opportunities for individuals interested in the nursing profession. In furtherance of this commitment, the Miller School of Medicine created the Nursing Scholarship Program. This program provides full in-state tuition at the University of Miami School of Nursing, plus a stipend for books and fees. The students selected to receive the scholarship commit to full-time employment at the University of Miami for a consecutive twenty-four month period following receipt of licensure by the state of Florida.

Eligibility Requirements

• Admitted to University of Miami School of Nursing
• Maintain full-time enrollment in the School of Nursing
• Maintain a minimum cumulative 3.0 Grade Point Average
• Graduate and achieve state licensure or certification applicable to practice

Application Process

• Applications will be accepted during the first semester of the program
• Scholarship applications will be pre-selected by the Nursing Scholarship Program Selection Committee of the Miller School of Medicine.
• All necessary documents must be submitted together with the scholarship application. Applications will not be accepted if documents are missing.
